The Porsche 356 family of sports cars launched the Porsche brand. Introduced in 1950, the Porsche356 was a lightweight and agile rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-door sports car that was offered in both a hardtop coup design and a convertible configuration. Several variations where made throughout the years. The original production Porsche 356 was offered from 1950 to 1955, and the Porsche 356A soon followed from 1956-1959, offering increased horsepower, improved suspension, and a new four-speed gearbox. After the 356A, the Porsche 356B was introduced from 1960-1963, and offered high-set bumpers and enlarged windows. Despite steadily rising sales demand, Porsches at this time were still primarily built by hand. The last version of the 356, the Porsche 356C, was offered from 1964 to 1965. While this model had very few visual differences, there were plenty of improvements under the skin.

If you are looking to sell Porsche 356 cars, the Pre-A models are generally the most sought-after and command a higher price than some of the later models. With only 21,000 produced the 356A and the Porsche 356A coupe models are also highly sought-after. In total, it is estimated that of the 76,000 cars produced throughout this series, only half are still remaining today.
