Buying or Selling a 1955 AC Aceca?

1955 AC Aceca
1955 AC Aceca

The AC Aceca was launched in 1954 at Earls Court Motor Show. The model was a light grand tourer coupe built on a simple chassis with large tubes. An AC, 2-liter, OHC engine powered the car and offered a power output up to 90 hp. 328 units were made during the production run, which meant the model was quite successful according to the standards of the era. The Aceca featured a new aluminum body and was only slightly heavier than the convertible AC Ace model. With the 2-liter, 90-hp engine and better aerodynamics, the AC Aceca could reach a satisfying top speed over 100 mph. The AC Aceca was fitted with transverse-leaf-spring independent suspension all around. The 1955 AC Aceca was a comfortable and high-end GT and is now a rare and desirable classic. At the end of its production run, a larger four-seater model came out to replace the Aceca: the AC Greyhound.
