Buying or Selling a 1957 AC Aceca Bristol?
Introduced in 1954, the AC Aceca was a coupe grand tourer based on the AC Ace convertible that came out prior to the Aceca. Powered by a 2-liter AC engine, the first cars were soon upgraded. A new Bristol engine was introduced in 1956 for the AC Aceca and the model was renamed the AC Aceca-Bristol. Based on the pre-war BMW 328 engine, the new unit had 6 in-line cylinders, a 2-liter capacity and 3 downdraught carburetors, with a power output of 120. The car was linked to a smooth four-speed gearbox with overdrive and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9 seconds with a top speed of 116 mph. Front disc brakes were made available on option from 1957 and were later standardized.
