While the Aston Martin DB4 had been selling for several years, in 1962 it would receive another round of revisions, which are today known as the DB4 Series V. These revisions would mark the final variant in the DB4 range before being replaced with the Aston Martin DB5. Perhaps the most notable change during this time was the shit to a longer chassis, thus allowing for more legroom for rear seat passengers. The roof would also be raised slightly at this time, which also gave passengers additional headroom. Interestingly, the diameters of the car’s wheels were reduced to 15 inches to ensure that the car remained the same height as previous models. The rear light clusters for the 1963 Aston Martin DB4 were also different than the predecessors, featuring indicator, braking lamp and reversing lamp. During this time, the rear reflector was moved to the bumper. Because of its short production, just 50 Aston Martin DB4 Series V Saloon models were built. A Convertible version of the Aston Martin DB4 would also be offered and only 70 were built – 30 in Series IV and 40 in Series V. If you’re thinking about selling a 1963 Aston Martin DB4, the Alex Manos team wants to speak with you.

1963 Aston Martin DB4 Seller’s Guide

Whether you’ve recently inherited a 1963 Aston Martin DB4 and simply don’t have the desire or space to keep it, are looking to sell your unfinished restoration project, or would like to simply learn more about the value of your classic Aston Martin DB4 in today’s market, the Alex Manos team is always available for consultation. From models in need of total restoration to the finest, showroom-quality examples, their team looks for cars of all makes, models and conditions to add to their inventory of European and American classics. Perhaps one of the most important Seller’s Tips they can provide for the DB Series V models is to ensure you’ve gathered enough evidence to authenticate your particular model as original. While this may seem like standard protocol, today’s buyers expect that engine and chassis numbers match historic records. If they don’t, they will expect the price reflects this difference. Their team also advises that you have current photographs of the classic handy, as most buyers will come via the Internet. These are just a few of the Seller’s Tips that the Alex Manos team has learned over the years; they are delighted to share them with you.
