Buying or Selling a 1930 Bentley 8 Litre?
The Bentley 8 Litre was introduced in 1930 at the London Olympia Motor Show and produced until 1932 in only 100 units. The Bentley 8 Litre was the last model built completely by Bentley before the Great Depression and the financial difficulties of Bentley lead to Rolls-Royce acquisition. The largest Bentley chassis was used on the 8 Litre model, equipped with semi-elliptic leaf springs controlled by double acting dampers. The model was made using wheelbases of 144 or 156 in, three rare units being built on a 138-in wheelbase. A SOHC, 8-liter, straight-six engine powered the model, with four valves per cylinder and twin-spark ignition. A four-speed gearbox was connected to the engine and both were well isolated from the chassis using rubber to avoid vibration.
