Selling a 1958 Porsche 356

The 1958 model-year for Porsche brought about new changes to the 356A, the T-2 body style. While changes were not drastic, there were several noticeable ones that made the new body style stand out compared to its predecessors. For example, vent wings were added in the Cabriolet doors and Coupes now had the extra-cost option of wind-wings on the outside of their window frames. On the Speedster and Cabriolet, larger rear windows appeared and a factory option fiberglass top was not available to open-air models. If you’re selling your 1958 Porsche 356 and have the original fiberglass top, this easily means an increase in value. One of the biggest changes however, was the exhaust. Two exhaust pipes now exited through the lower part of the bumper guard, and a double-bow front bumper replaced the previously used single-bow design. While this new exhaust was controversial at the time, it proved to be better in the long run, as it protected the exhaust tips better and raised ground clearance.
