The Porsche 911 would receive its first significant update in 1968 to become known as the B-Series. However, while the Porsche 911E and 911S would gain fuel injection, the entry-level 1968 Porsche 911T Coupe and Targa would continue to use Weber carburetors. Many loved that the 911T kept its carburetors, simply because they sounded great. The engine would remain the same as in the A-Series models, although it now boasts a magnesium crankshaft. Perhaps the most important change to all of the B-Series cars, however, was the increase to the wheelbase. This was accomplished by moving the wheels backwards by lengthening the trailing arms and allowing the driveshaft to be angled slightly. To accommodate this change, the rear wheel arches were moved further back and became slightly flared to make room for wider wheels and tires. When selling your 1968 Porsche 911T Coupe, these are a few of the characteristics that you can advertise to potential buyers who may be uneducated about the Porsche 911T history.
