Buying or Selling a 1990 De Tomaso Pantera?
The model of Pantera in production from 1985 to 1991 was the GT5-S. S stood for “steel” and referred to the steel extended fenders previously made of polyester on the GT5 model. The 1990 De Tomaso Pantera GT5-S is similar to its predecessor in many ways. Designed by Ghia, the body featured a low wedge-shaped profile and long lines with a combination of smooth and sharp angles. The interior boasted a harmonious dash with complete equipment. The Pantera offered many customization possibilities with multiple leather coloring and wood inserts for the dash and doors. Used since 1971 on the Pantera, the 351 Cleveland engine was no longer available starting 1988 and was replaced by the V8-351 Windsor built by Ford Canada. The new unit was slightly lighter thanks to a light cast iron piece and the capacity remained of 5.7 liters.
