Selling A 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2
The Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 was presented at the Brussels Shows in January 1964 and was intended to be a comfortable and luxurious Grand Touring car, replacing the four-seat Ferrari 250 GTE. Thanks to a 2-inch longer wheelbase, the Ferrari 330 GT offered additional legroom and headroom, especially for the passenger in the back. Koni adjustable shock absorbers were fitted, improving the handling of the car and the new all-around disc braking system made the GT comfortable and easy to drive. The Series II version of the Ferrari 330 GT boasts a five-speed gearbox instead of the overdrive four-speed used by its predecessor. Distinctive changes were made to the design, such as the use of the earlier twin-headlight instead of the four-headlight configuration, the 2-mount positioning for the engine and hanging pedals and the three-piece scoop design of the new side air vents. Finally, the 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, and other models-years, received a decent amount of power generated by the 4-Liter V12 engine.
1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Seller’s Guide
Regularly breaking records at auctions, classic Ferraris of the 1960’s are highly prized and desirable vehicles. The 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 is no exception, particularly for examples in mint-condition with an interesting history and quality documentation. If you’re thinking about selling a 1965 Ferrari 330 GTS 2+2, here are a few items that will add value to the car: correct matching numbers, original leather glove box book, issuance of Ferrari Classiche Certification, and a summary of the owner’s history. Knowing that so few examples were made during the short production run and each example is hand-made makes every car unique, having as much documentation on the car as possible can be of great value when you’re looking to sell. Moreover, Ferrari made a few special editions that were even more rare.
