Selling A Ferrari 330 GTC
The Ferrari 330 GTC, also known as Ferrari GTC Berlinetta, was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1966. This two-seater and two-door Coupe was designed by Pininfarina and features a beautiful body with an oval grille, a longer front hood, and round headlamps. The Ferrari 330 GTC needed to be both a Grand Touring car and a true performance car, with the less sporty 2+2 model being sold alongside. A shortened frame of the Ferrari 275 GTB was used as a base and the car was fitted with the more aggressive looking rear end of the Ferrari 275 Spyder. Side vents on the hood and quad exhaust pipes helped to build a sporty look, while the cabin stood taller for easy entrance and exit. Under the hood, a reworked version of the Colombo V12 delivered 300 horsepower to the wheels. The 4-Liter engine with 3 Weber DFI carburetors enabled a top speed of 146 mph and an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in just 6.9 seconds, putting the car way ahead of the competition at the time.
Ferrari 330 GTC Seller’s Guide
The Ferrari 330 GTC had a better front to rear weight ratio thanks to the revised gearbox placed in the rear axle, and the incorporation of different gear ratios enabled the 330 GTC to reach a higher top speed. Instead of the old live axle system, a fully independent suspension system was installed, featuring uneven A-arms in the front and in the rear to make the car easier to drive on long trips. The 330 GTC was a large production lineup for Ferrari according to the brand’s production standards at the time, with approximately 604 examples made between 1966 and 1968. Each example of Ferrari was built to be very special and required an impressive number of man-hours. These are just a few of the Ferrari 330 GTC facts that can help you sell your particular example.
