Selling A Ferrari 365 GT 2+2
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1967, the Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 was in production until 1971. This powerful Grand Tourer featured advanced engineering equipment, such as Girling ventilated discs all around, an independent rear suspension (seen for the first time on a 2+2 Ferrari), and a torque tube system mounted within the transmission as with the Ferrari GTB4 and 330 GTC. The suspension system provided excellent road holding, with a combined set of shock absorbers and coil springs provided by Koni. Ferrari and Koni also partnered to develop a self-leveling system in the rear, adding significant comfort to the car. The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 featured a completely different body style than the 330 GT 2+2, although both cars used the same chassis. The design of the new model was closer to the ones of the Superfast models, rather than the previous 2+2 cars, showing gorgeous lines and refined looks.
Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Seller’s Guide
The 4.4-Liter V12 engine was coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, developing 320hp for a top speed of 150 mph and a 0 to 60 mph performance of less than 7 seconds. Thanks to the responsiveness of the engine and the precision of the shifter, the driving experience is highly enjoyable. The inside was refined, boasting a beautiful large wood dash with a binnacle full of gauges, plush carpeting, comfortable seat and a neat headliner. The gorgeous wooden steering wheel is inviting and harmoniously compliments the fine dashboard. Approximately 809 examples of the Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 were made, 50 of which were right-hand drive. A well-documented and properly maintained example is extremely valuable although barn-finds and restoration projects are still raising a lot of interest. If you’re the owner of a Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 and thinking about selling it, make sure gather all the documentation you may have, take recent photographs, and get ready to answer questions regarding the car’s history and authenticity.
