Buying or Selling a 1970 Maserati Indy?

1970 Maserati Indy

First introduced in 1969 as an alternative to the Maserati Ghibli I, the Maserati Indy featured a V8 engine like the Ghibli, but offered four real seats instead of the 2+2 interior of its sister. The Indy offered a large luggage compartment making the car suitable for long distance trips and was overall more spacious and more comfortable. The name “Indy” was given to the GT in honor of Maserati’s two victories at the Indy 500 race. A 4.2-liter V8 capable of 260 hp was bolted to a standard 5-speed ZF gearbox, or an optional 3-speed Borg-Warner automatic. The 1970 Maserati Indy was designed by Vignale, yet a certain visual similarity could be found with the contemporary Giugiaro-designed Ghibli. A special U.S. tailored version of the Indy was made especially for the U.S. market, and was called the Indy America.

1970 Maserati Indy Seller’s Guide

If you are thinking about selling your 1970 Maserati Indy, the Alex Manos team is a good place to start. The friendly staff will gladly share their many tips and advice on how to make the best transaction. Firstly, it is highly recommended to take detailed and professional shots of the car—inside, outside and extra tools and accessories. The first impression is crucial for classic car buyers and a good set of pictures can make a huge difference. Another piece of advice is to gather all the paperwork, tools, and accessories that come with the classic in order to have everything ready when potential buyers come to see the car. Buyers might ask for the original handbook, the maintenance reports, and anything concerning the history of ownership. The more information you have available on the classic, the better its value will be.
