Selling A Classic Mercedes?
Some of the most-favored and sought after classic Mercedes-Benz automobiles are the supercharged pre-war era cars, and Mercedes convertibles into the late 1960s early 70s. The SL-Class grand tourer, manufactured since 1954, is the Sport Lightweight model. Numerous variations within the SL line can be found including engine configurations. The first generation of SL, both the Mercedes-Benz 300SL and 190SL, had their start in 1954.
Until 1963 1.9 and 3.0L, four speed manuals were produced. There were over 25,000 four cylinder 190SL Mercedes sold. If you buy or sell classic Mercedes you’ll find both coups, removable hardtops, and convertible soft tops.
The second generation was offered as a four speed automatic or manual transmission as well as a five speed manual. The engine sizes were 2.3, 2.5, or 2.8. The 230SL had big curved windows and a distinctive roofline. Around 1967 the 230SL became known as the 250SL. The engine was displaced and increased again until it became the 280SL, a favorite vintage Mercedes.

“Alex, it was a pleasure doing business with you. You made it so simple, so simple, at first I was pretty apprehensive. Then the very next day the cashiers check arrived. Our family has a lot of good memories with the Mercedes & I know it will bring a lot of enjoyment to a new owner.”
“Alex, thanks for buying my 280SL. It was the most professional and seamless buying or selling experience I have ever had with a car. You called me 2 hours after I posted on your website and shortly after, the sale was completed. You and your staff made it fast and painless in selling my car. Everything was done correctly the first time. I would recommend your organization to anyone who wants to sell their car fast and at a fair price, and no hassles. Wish everyone was as professional as your organization.”
“Alex, My thanks for the buy/sell transaction on my 190. (now your 190). This had to be the easiest way ever to sell a classic car. The check cleared, the car was scheduled and I have sent the forms to Allison (great lady BTW). The title will go out on Monday when I get to Florida.
I have already suggested that my sister get in touch with you since she is contemplating selling her MW.”
“A very smooth transaction. Your method of doing business reminds me of the way things were done when people trusted each other and honored their word. I was very happy to find that there were still business men like you and hope you don’t have reason to change. A pleasure doing business with you.”
“Hi Alex, there are so many things I could say positively about having now sold you my car and dealing with you and your good people I just don’t know where to start but overall that was very professional and very fair! The follow up specifically regarding transportation and documentation was also impressive. Thank you, and yes I will be calling you again soon.”
It was a pleasure doing business with you Alex. What started out as an evening searching the web for Mercedes parts, ended with a cordial discussion about my 230SL and a very fair offer minutes into the conversation. The follow up work of your team was quick, thorough and extremely polite. I would highly recommend you to any classic car owner interested in selling their vehicles…
Within 24 hours the truck came and we managed to roll a lovely 500SL down the driveway to the tow truck. It could have been a very sad farewell. It was my husband’s dream car – his “Nureyev” car – the Russian dancer had one – and we both loved ballet. Your driver was so nice and MOST ESPECIALLY very professional.
Working with Alex and his fantastic staff was a pleasure. This transaction could not have gone any better.
