The Rolls-Royce Corniche also came with a three-speed automatic transmission, which was efficient and praised by critics for helping the car drive much smoother than Rolls-Royce models with four-speed automatics. Another popular feature that came with all Corniche models was the hydraulic self-leveling suspension which was developed by Citroen. This state-of-the-art system helped ensure that the car was safe, comfortable, and easy to drive in all conditions.
