Buying or Selling an AC Aceca?

AC Aceca

Introduced in 1954, the AC Aceca was a coupe model based on the previous Ace model, with simpler bodywork. The first units were powered by an AC engine, soon upgraded to a Bristol engine and a few 2.6-liter tuned Ford Zephyr engines. The AC Aceca was very light, thanks to a tubular frame, aluminum body panels and an aluminum engine block. With its large 16” wheels and 50/50 weight distribution, the AC Aceca had great handling capabilities. The suspension used transverse leaf springs in the rear and independent system in the front. Compared to previous models, the AC Aceca featured more luxurious features, which made it a comfortable GT. The car had a quieter cabin thanks to rubber mounting on the differentials and a relatively spacious interior. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears had optional overdrive, and front wheel disk brakes were added in 1957.

AC Aceca Seller’s Guide

Between 1954 and 1963, 151 units of AC Aceca models, 169 Aceca Bristols, and 8 Ford engined cars were built. This was a successful production for the small manufacturer at the time. Nowadays, very few AC Acecas are available for sale on the market. If you own an example you’d like to sell at a good price, the Alex Manos team is a good place to start. First, the team has a large and growing inventory of classics for sale and they relish the opportunity to add your model to the collection. The staff is known for making fair and honest deals, as well as providing top quality service. Moreover, the knowledgeable staff will share some tips and advice to help you get a better offer. For example, it’s recommended to take your classic to your trusted mechanic and ask if any small fixes can be made to increase the value of your car.
