Selling a 1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II
More than sixty years had passed since Charles Rolls and Henry Royce had released their first 10hp engine in 1904 when the 1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II rolled off the production line. The company surely had grown far beyond the founders’ imaginations, yet their guiding vision to design first-rate engines housed within precision frameworks could be seen in every car that rolled off the line.

The 1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II was no exception. Powered by a 6.2 liter V-8 engine, the 1962 Silver Cloud II would see an increase in top speed, acceleration and torque when compared to the Silver Cloud I.
Like early Silver Cloud I designs, the Silver Cloud II was also body-on-frame construction and visually there were no major changes to the design. Several coachbuilder variants would be constructed, however, including versions by Freestone & Webb, James Young, and Park Ward to name a few. Serving as the commercial centerpiece for Rolls Royce for over a decade’s time, the Silver Cloud is a popular car among RR collectors.
