Its wheelbase, however, measured 127 inches, whereas standard models were just 123 inches. While this four-inch difference may not have been visible to the naked eye, the interior difference was certainly enjoyed by rear-seat passengers —thus further enhancing the already luxurious appeal.

Outside of this change, the Silver Cloud Long Wheel Base was generally unchanged from the standard model. The Silver Cloud I boasted a 4.9 liter straight-six engine that could propel the two-ton Rolls Royce to speeds in excess of 100mph. Other generations, such as the Silver Cloud II and III, offered an enormous 6.2 liter V-8 that gave 220hp beneath its length hood. Whether the Long Wheel Base or standard version, the Silver Cloud was certainly a prestigious, luxurious and exceptionally engineered machine.
